SMC and ICT Indicators on cTrader: What They Mark (and What They Do Not)

Order blocks, liquidity sweeps, FVG markers — what SMC indicators actually plot on cTrader charts and common buyer mistakes.

Smart Money Concepts tooling exploded on cTrader the same way it did on TradingView: boxes everywhere, “liquidity grab” labels, and rainbow dashboards. Useful when you already study price action. Overwhelming when you expect the indicator to trade for you.

Most SMC indicators automate markup — swing highs/lows, order blocks, fair value gaps, sometimes killzones for session opens. They do not replace reading context: higher-timeframe bias, news calendar, spread widening at rollover.

Before you buy

Check whether logic is subjective (many valid OB definitions) or rule-based (same inputs, same boxes on replay). Rule-based is easier to backtest visually. Watch a demo video on the product page; static screenshots hide repainting.

Pair with a simple risk tool. Fancy markup plus oversized lots is still gambling.
